The Canada Safety Council's renowned 55 Alive refresher course is designed to help Canadians 55 years and over adjust their skills in order to compensate for aging related changes to hearing, vision, flexibility, and reaction time. This 7 hour course will help seniors to maintain their independence and their driving privileges longer while driving safely. It will also help senior drivers prepare for BC's mandatory driver re-examination process.

Drivers bothered by any of the following situations will benefit from the 55 Alive course: entering or exiting a highway, changing lanes, passing, parking, left turns, yielding the right of way, night or winter driving, the frustrations of today's complicated traffic environment.

55 Alive will help you:

gain more confidence behind the wheel
improve your awareness of traffic hazards
update yourself on traffic laws and new technology
anticipate the actions of other drivers
identify and correct bad driving habits
voice your concerns in a friendly, relaxed environment

The Cost of this 7 hour course is only $35 (no taxes) and includes an informative and easy to follow workbook. Intended to help seniors become safer drivers; there are no examinations, and licensing won't be affected. Ask questions and gain confidence in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
