Quality
KDSC delivers a top quality, professional rider training program to its students. Our digital theory curriculum presents the newest and most up to date survival strategies in our newly renovated classroom, and our range and traffic courses are designed to help you steadily acquire all the skills you need to become a safer, more proficient rider.

Experience
KDSC has the most experienced Instructors in the Valley. Our team of 14 male and female Instructors have over 400 years of combined riding experience and over 50 years of combined instructing experience to their credit. Our office staff are all licenced riders who have trained at KDSC, so we know what it feels like to be in the saddle for the first time, and we can answer all your questions!

Value
At KDSC, you’ll receive the highest value training for your money. Your tuition is tax exempt, and includes 35 hours of training (8 hours of Theory, 12 hours of Gearing Up, and 14 hours of Traffic Skills – that’s 26 hours of saddle time), use of a motorcycle, the ICBC Motorcycle Skills Assessment test, and FREE loans of helmets, riding jackets, and gloves. As a recognized Safety Council, your graduation will earn you significant insurance discounts, and KDSC’s exclusive Incentive Package means valuable discounts at many local dealerships as well.

Flexibility
KDSC’s unique scheduling system allows you to mix and match the three parts of your course (Theory, Gearing Up, Traffic Skills) to find the schedule that best suits your busy life. We can also offer alternatives if your personal schedule conflicts with one of our set dates. We also offer private training sessions suited to your schedule. Weekends, weekdays, and evenings.....whatever works best for you.

Reputation
KDSC has been operating in the Okanagan since 1980, and over the past 30 years we have built our reputation as a leader in BC’s motorcycle safety training community. Our reputation is what brings students to KDSC from as far away as Smithers, Prince George, Vancouver, and Canal Flats. KDSC is also proud to have trained many of the staff from Kelowna Yamaha, M&M Performance, Valley Moto Sports, Southwest Motorrad, Okanagan Motortoyz, and Kane’s, as well as radio personalities such as Tarzan Dan, Susan Knight, Craig Campbell, and Doc Roberts from Sun FM and Kim Calloway from Power 104.

Credentials
KDSC is one of BC’s oldest and largest motorcycle training facilities, a Motorcycle Skills Assessment facility, and one of the few licenced Instructor Training facilities in BC. Our driver training school is ICBC approved and licenced under the Motor Vehicle Act, and we are members of the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce. KDSC’s Instructors have all graduated from intensive 90 hour Instructor Training Programs and they receive between 16 and 30 hours of refresher training each spring. Our Instructors are all licenced by ICBC, the Canada Safety Council, and the BC Safety Council, and they have valid First Aid certificates.

Variety
KDSC is your full service motorcycle training facility. Not only do we offer the popular Learn to Ride course, but we also offer a range of services including Advanced Rider Training, MSA and Road Test Preps and Escorts, Scooter Training, Mechanics, Winterization, Group Riding, Learner’s Permit Bootcamps, Bus Trips to the Vancouver Motorcycle Show, Poker Runs, organized rides, and an annual student BBQ. If you do some research, you’ll see that no other motorcycle training facility in Canada offers such a wide variety of motorcycle training, events, and workshops.

Safety
At KDSC, we look out for our students’ safety. We provide top of the line gear (helmets, jackets, and gloves), we maintain our fleet of +40 bikes weekly, we rent the largest parking lots in Kelowna to ensure more than adequate run-out room and space for students, our Instructors all have valid First Aid certificates, and we do everything we can to create a supportive, relaxed, and friendly learning environment.

Community
KDSC is a 100% local, non profit, charitable organization. We are not a private business. All revenues are used to support KDSC’s programs, including the motorcycle training program, the Little Travellers’ Safety Village for kids, and defensive driving programs for seniors and adults. KDSC has been an important part of the community for 30 years.

Certainty
At KDSC, we will do everything we can to ensure that you have a great experience while you learn to ride. Although learning curves may vary, we’ll do whatever it takes to help you get to your goal of becoming a proficient and safe rider.
